  • Dr. Jörg Bernsdorf is a Senior Researcher at the German Research School for Simulation Sciences in Aachen. Dr. Bernsdorf is an expert for computational fluid dynamics (CFD). Since more then 15 years, he works in the field of Lattice-Boltzmann methods and their application in industry and medical simulation.
  • Prof. Dr. Uwe Jaekel teaches physics and mathematics at the Rhein-Ahr-Campus of the University of Applied Science Koblenz. His specialities include optimisation, mathematical finance, probability and statistics. Prof. Jaekel has long years of experience in physical and mathematical modelling and algorithm design.
  • Prof. Dr. Jens Georg Schmidt teaches mathematics and scientific computing at the Rhein-Ahr-Campus of the University of Applied Science Koblenz. He is an expert for numerical algorithms, finite element computations and numerical linear algebra. Prof. Schmidt has considerable experience in the modelling of technical systems.
  • Prof. Dr. Jesper L. Träff is head of the parallel computing group at the Technical University of Vienna. He is a renowned specialist on the area of parallel and distributed programming. Prof. Träff has more than 20 years of experience in the development of parallel communication libraries and in the design of parallel and sequential Algorithms. He was one of the chief developers of the MPI communication library for the Earth Simulator I, the world's fastest computer from 2002 to 2004.
